Between 13.00 and 14.00, for about half an hour, the Danube Bridge near Ruse will be closed in both directions.
Both cars and trucks will be temporarily unable to pass through the facility. The closure of the bridge is necessary due to the urgent filling of holes in the sixth section of the Bulgarian part of the facility, which has not yet been repaired.
This is a route of about 300 meters, where the speed of motor vehicles is currently extremely low - below 10 km/h.
The activities in the section will be carried out as soon as possible, so as to minimize discomfort for citizens. Similar activities are possible in the next few days, the regional administration informs.
They recall that a similar emergency repair was necessary a few weeks ago, but due to the structural problems of the concrete panels in the unrepaired section and the heavy snowfall, new holes opened up again on the route.
