By orders of Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov dated 23.02.2026, Yordan Bozhilov and Zlatin Krastev have been appointed Deputy Ministers of Defense.
Yordan Bozhilov will assume the functions of Deputy Minister for Defense Policy and Planning.
He has extensive experience in the field of defense. He was the director of a directorate at the Ministry of Defense, head of the political cabinet and deputy minister of defense.
Zlatin Krastev will assume the functions of deputy minister for armaments and defense investments.
Krastev is a career diplomat with many years of experience from the permanent delegation of the Republic of Bulgaria to NATO, the Ministry of Defense informs.
