An unusual institutional situation is unfolding in the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, after the question arose of who actually performs the functions of the acting minister - Angelina Boneva or Nikolay Naydenov.

Today, Boneva returned to the building of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and entered the ministerial office. She stated that she would not resign from her post and even held an operational meeting with her political office, to which she handed out tasks, GERB PR Nikola Nikolov wrote on Facebook.

It is also alleged that Boneva insisted that Nikolay Naydenov leave the ministerial office and stated that she would not allow him to enter the ministry. During the meeting with her team, she stated that she would not allow herself to be subjected to political pressure from Ivaylo Mirchev and Bozhidar Bozanov.

However, it is not clear at the moment on what legal basis this situation is developing. According to information circulating in political circles, no presidential decree has been issued to dismiss Boneva from her post. If this is confirmed, she will formally continue to be the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works.

We recall that yesterday “Voices“ reported, citing well-informed sources in the government, that the acting Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, Angelina Boneva, may be dismissed from her post. Later in the day, this information was confirmed after Boneva herself announced that she would resign. Boneva is the only specialist in EU funds in the acting cabinet.

According to information from “Voices“ Acting Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov has demanded her resignation after she refused to fulfill several demands of Ivaylo Mirchev and Andrey Tsekov from the PP-DB. On Monday, a serious scandal broke out between them after Boneva refused to replace the Management Board of “ViK Holding“, did not agree to dismiss two more members of the Management Board of RIA and categorically refused to dismiss the heads of DNSK and AGKK (the Agency for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre).

After the changes to the Constitution, the parliament does not need to vote on the dismissal of an acting minister – the National Assembly only hears the oath of the new cabinet member.

So far, the institutions have not given an official explanation for the situation that has arisen.
