A 27-year-old man from the village of Drenovets, Ruzhintsi municipality, Vidin region, has submitted an application with a fake diploma for employment at the Multi-profile Hospital for Active Treatment (MBAL) “St. Nicholas the Wonderworker“ – Lom, reports the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Montana, quoted by BTA.
The report was filed with the police on March 5 by the hospital manager. He indicated that a document for an educational and qualification degree “Master“ in the specialty “Medicine“ was attached to the application, which is of dubious authenticity. The law enforcement officers seized the document with a protocol of voluntary surrender.
After checking the registers of the National Center for Information and Documentation, it was found that there is no data for such a diploma number and for a person with the presented unique civil registration number who has completed higher education. The man was questioned at the Lom Regional Office. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated. Work on the case is ongoing, the police added.
The manager of the “St. Nicholas the Wonderworker” Hospital in Lom, Dr. Georgi Savkov, told journalists that he doubted the authenticity of the document because there was a spelling error in it.
