Another day of tension between the political forces and the caretaker cabinet due to the reshuffles in the Ministry of Interior. GERB stated that guaranteeing the early vote does not justify the changes in the power structures. According to Boyko Borisov, this is revanchism, and all the changes are "outrage" on the part of the caretaker government, Nova TV reports.
The PP supported the changes precisely because of the organization of fair elections. And after the Minister of Interior answered questions from MPs for several hours on Friday, on Saturday Emil Dechev explained that he wants people in the Ministry of Interior whom he trusts.
From Burgas, the leader of GERB Boyko Borisov criticized the caretaker government. “In this one year, the NRA has collected - together with the “Customs”, more in the state treasury. And the gratitude is to remove the head of the NRA. And as you can see, in less than two weeks there is resignation after resignation - absolutely failed people. We still can't figure out who the father is? Come on, we know the father - Rumen Radev. And who is the mother? Who brought these people, how did they study them, how did they set them up?”, asked the GERB leader.
For another day, he attacked the change of leaders in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. “They are literally doing a disservice. Poor Ministry of Internal Affairs - that's all I can say. And not because of the minister. But because of the fact that 30-40 senior police chiefs are fired at a certain period of time and after a year these police chiefs return. Revanchism is terrible there”, Borisov stressed.
The caretaker minister justified the reshuffles and suspected a targeted attack. “We all witnessed the numerous violations of the last parliamentary elections. We can afford the luxury of working with the same directors as before. My actions are not liked. An attempt is being made to find a reason and justify why I should not make almost any changes. And I should simply sit in the ministerial cabinet like a ficus tree, doing nothing, but at the same time being responsible for everything”, said the caretaker interior minister Emil Dechev.
Support for the changes in the power ministry came from the PP. “People who were part of the team that held some of the most dishonest elections in recent years. A fact proven by the Constitutional Court. When we have such a team that is clearly not working - the first thing the minister should do, and I would do it in his place, is to change this team”, is categorical Bogdan Bogdanov, PP-DB.
And the BSP issued an appeal to the new minister. “What is happening is not a precedent, but we will judge by the results. Bulgaria is in dire need of fair elections, because unfair elections are leading us into a spiral of elections. Therefore, Minister Emil Dechev has a great responsibility and let's hope he will justify it”, expressed hope the leader of the BSP Krum Zarkov
