The "Progressive Bulgaria" coalition, with which former head of state Rumen Radev will run in the elections, is ready for talks after the vote with all parties outside the status quo. This became clear from the words of former MEP Petar Vitanov, who is part of Radev's formation. He described the information about a possible coalition with GERB after the elections as speculation. In "The Day Begins with Georgi Lyubenov" on BNT Vitanov said that the leaders of the lists will be ready in due time - without specifying specific names. And he added that logically Rumen Radev's party will be called "Progressive Bulgaria", as is the name of the coalition with which he is registering for the elections.
Vitanov said that with an ideal result, it is best for the party to govern independently, and talks with other formations will be held only with political forces "that have nothing to do with the status quo".
“The aspiration of every political party is to govern independently in order to make as few compromises as possible, if not none. And to the question of who - it is still too early to talk, but in any case, talks are only possible with those who have nothing to do with this status quo, which led to the collapse of the government and put hundreds of thousands of people on the streets,”, he noted.
According to him, in a simple way, Bulgaria's problem has been replaced:
“ Now they are trying to tell us that Bulgaria's problem is "for" or "against" Radev. No. Bulgaria's problem is completely different - Borisov-Peevski, that status quo government that the people protested against. They will certainly not participate in such talks.”
According to him, it is too early to make predictions about the results of the elections.
From his words it became clear that the party's lists are in the process of preparation. He did not name specific names, this would happen soon.
„You will see an awful lot of prominent figures, famous people, politicians and people who have never been involved in politics, but inspire trust.“
On the issue of the participation of the president's wife in the coalition, Vitanov specified:
