Three people died in a serious accident on the road between the villages of Uglen and Dermantsi in the Lukovit municipality. This was announced by the District Prosecutor's Office in Lovech, which is leading the investigation to clarify the causes of the collision between the two cars, reports Vesti.bg.
Upon impact, one of the cars caught fire. The bodies of a man, a woman and a child were found inside. The fourth passenger was thrown from the car during the accident and was transported in serious condition to a hospital in Pleven.
The inspection of the scene of the accident lasted several hours, with the road temporarily closed to traffic. A detour route was introduced via Dermantsi - Todorichene - Lukovit - road I-3 - Telish - Sadovets and back.
Later, the press center of the “Road Infrastructure“ Agency announced that traffic on the road between the villages of Uglen and Dermantsi has already been restored.
