A protest will be held in front of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sofia demanding the removal of the director of the ODMVR-Plovdiv, Senior Commissioner Vasil Kostadinov, who was appointed by the caretaker government.
The organizer of the action is Atanaska Bakalova - the mother of Dimitar Malinov from the village of Tsalapitsa, who was killed in 2023. At that time, Commissioner Kostadinov headed the Plovdiv directorate and was removed by the then Minister Kalin Stoyanov due to the delayed investigation.
Last week, a protest with the same demand took place near Plovdiv. It even reached the point of blocking the ring road. Among the protesters was Nikolay Popov, the father of the tragically deceased Siyana, who is expected to once again support Atanaska Bakalova.
The protest is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in front of the Ministry of Interior building in the capital.
