Gyurov: 1.6 million pensioners will receive 20 or 50 euros in Easter supplements - 1

The government will support over 1,600,000 pensioners with an additional amount for Easter. The amount will be 20 or 50 euros. This is not a political gesture. And I call on the parties not to turn it into one. Assistance for the vulnerable is not an election currency. It is a matter of statehood and, above all, a matter of humanity. This was stated by Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov at the beginning of today's government meeting.

The Prime Minister emphasized that from the first day of the caretaker cabinet, the social and financial ministers have been making efforts to prevent care for the most vulnerable from becoming a coin for pre-election trading.

The Prime Minister also emphasized the issue of fuel, which is becoming a challenge for the whole of Europe and for millions of people around the world. Events outside Bulgaria should not become a source of fear and tension here, at home, noted Gyurov. The Prime Minister emphasized that the government is already considering specific solutions and gave an example of measures that are being discussed in other European countries.

Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov also paid special attention to the primary task of the caretaker cabinet to organize fair elections. Our job as a government is to ensure calm and care in this crisis. In order for the power of citizens to ensure democracy, Gyurov stated and highlighted the consistent actions for holding elections according to the rules.
