Bozhidar Bozhanov: The allegations of irregularities in the software and access to the machines are not supported by con - 1

The co-chairman of "Yes, Bulgaria" Bozhidar Bozhanov stated that he does not see any real problems with machine voting in the upcoming elections, but warned of possible attempts to artificially create a scandal in the last days of the campaign.

According to him, the allegations of irregularities in the software and access to the machines are not supported by concrete evidence.

"I do not see a problem with the machines and I do not see any specifics in all these allegations. Everyone says that there is a problem with the machines, there are problems with the software. These people have not seen software, have not seen code, have not seen a key, but they go out on the podium and practice.

Bozhanov emphasized that representatives of the contractor and the Central Election Commission have access to the machines. According to him, this practice has existed for several consecutive elections and there are no indications of a real threat to the integrity of the vote. However, he warned that there is a risk if a political scandal is created at the last moment.

The co-chair of "Yes, Bulgaria" also commented on the topic of judicial reform and the work of the prosecutor's office. According to him, the acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov should be replaced, but this depends on the decisions of the Prosecutor's College of the Supreme Judicial Council.

According to him, the prosecutor's office often keeps information and investigations "in limbo", which, according to him, creates an opportunity for political pressure.

"When the prosecutor's office believes that someone has committed a violation, he should be accused. If he has not - this means that the information is being used as a tool for pressure," he pointed out.

According to him, the party has submitted dozens of anti-corruption bills to parliament, but they were rejected by the current majority. According to him, the permanent solution is the election of a new Supreme Judicial Council with a majority of 160 deputies.

"The goal is to have 160 votes for a new SJC outside the influence of this model, so that the judicial system can be truly reformed," he said.
