Bojanov: We introduced 20 anti-corruption laws in this parliament, all of them were rejected - 1

“In the previous elections, we came out with a 30-page anti-corruption program and because of this specifics, we were removed from the negotiations with GERB for joint governance. We have introduced 20 anti-corruption laws in this parliament from this program - against corruption in the prosecution, healthcare, agriculture, etc., and all of them were rejected by this majority”. This was said by the co-chairman of “Yes, Bulgaria” Bozhidar Bojanov in the program “Speak Now” on BNT.

Therefore, in his words, after the elections on April 19, there must be a different majority - in order to agree on these priorities and to have a majority of 160 deputies to elect a new Supreme Judicial Council.

“The main coordinator of influences in the conquered country is Delyan Peevski. The important thing is that there is no Peevski quota that can poison the Supreme Judicial Council again. There must not be another Peevski. That is why we want to change the rules for electing the Supreme Judicial Council and for how the Prosecutor General and the Prosecutor's Office work”, said Bojanov.

In his words, the goal of GERB and MRF is to have more than 80 votes so that the Supreme Judicial Council can depend on them. “They are together, they are one amalgam, and our goal is to have 160 votes outside of them”, said Bojanov. According to him, there could have been 160 votes without Peevski twice - in the 49th National Assembly during the failed rotation in the government of GERB and PP-DB, and in the current parliament, but this opportunity always fails because of his influence. The party leader stated that talks would be held after the elections with “Progressive Bulgaria” and with other formations for a constitutional majority for the Supreme Judicial Council.

Bozhidar Bozanov asked if the prosecution is convinced, after issuing a press release, that the European Prosecutor Teodora Georgieva received money from Petyo Euroto, why then is she not accused. And he gave the answer himself: “Because the prosecution works like this, it keeps people on the run, it doesn't want to bring you in as an accused, but to pressure you to do or not do something. This is also a crime and there should also be an investigation into this action and inaction of the prosecutor's office," the co-chair of "Yes, Bulgaria" is categorical.

Bozhanov does not expect problems with the voting machines, at least because they are under the control of the CEC, and GERB and its partners have a majority in it. For him, the only risk is if the current rulers create a scandal like Kostinbrod through special services and the prosecutor's office. "If a scandal is being prepared, as Stanislav Anastasov threatened, who made a circus in the Ministry of Electronic Governance, it is the job of the caretaker government to prevent such fabrications," said the co-chair of "Yes, Bulgaria."
