Yavor Bozhankov is finally dropping out of the PP-DB lists for the April elections - 1

Negotiations between the representatives of "We Continue the Change" and "Democratic Bulgaria" have ended regarding the formation of the coalition's joint candidate lists for the early elections on April 19. The lists have been signed by the leaders of the parties.

Novini.bg has learned from its sources that Yavor Bozhankov is finally dropping out of the lists. This happened after the PP categorically refused to let him participate in the upcoming elections. The negotiations were conducted until the last minute and there was a proposal for Bozhankov to take the last place on the list in Veliko Tarnovo, but it was also rejected.
We recall that the situation came to this after Yavor Bozhankov and Daniel Lorer voted differently from the parliamentary group in the election of the speaker of the parliament. Lorer was expelled from the PP, but he and Bozhankov (who is not a member of the PP, but is from the civil quota - ed.) remained in the parliamentary group at the insistence of the DB. A few days ago, Asen Vassilev threatened that he would not sign the lists if Yavor Bozhankov was included in them. This meant that the coalition would not have a full list in the region in which Bozhankov is included, since a coalition requires the consent of the co-chairs upon registration.

A few days ago, Yavor Bozhankov himself announced that currently "it is time to gather, not time to divide, because Bulgaria is in a very complicated situation".
