The GERB-SDF list in the 25th MIR is composed of people with many years of experience and expertise in the executive and local government, as well as many young people with energy and a desire to work. This was stated by the regional coordinator of GERB-Sofia and MP Daniela Raicheva. “We are entering the election campaign with readiness and desire to continue our face-to-face meetings with the people of Sofia. We are convinced that with the leadership of Mr. Borisov we will again be the first political force in the capital“, she said.
The second on the GERB-SDF list in the 25th MIR and former regional governor of Sofia, Stefan Arsov, stated that for him the capital is a cause. “We will continue to protect the interests of the residents of Sofia”, he was categorical, quoted by the GERB press center.
The second on the list in 24 MIR and long-time mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova pointed out that GERB is a consistent and systematic party. “We enter the election campaign with the self-confidence of having achieved long-standing priorities for our country – such as our entry into Schengen and the eurozone”, commented Fandakova, who is the chairwoman of the Foreign Policy Committee in the National Assembly. “We will work to return the real conversation about the future of our country – through economy, innovation and education. We will present a four-year clear plan to achieve these results. There is a need for work and achieved results, not opposition“, she added.
The chairman of the parliamentary defense committee Hristo Gadzhev said that politicians should think now about what they will do after the election day on April 19. “We will work for victory, but the results depend on how the citizens will arrange us. Bulgaria needs a regular and stable government that will lead our country through the crises, because the situation in Europe and the world is not stable“, commented Gadzhev, who is a candidate for MP from GERB-SDS in the 24th MIR.
The leader of the list in the 23rd MIR-Sofia Tomislav Donchev emphasized that GERB has established itself as the only national party. “We are the only large right-wing party, the main struggle at the moment is between left-wing formations. The right must have adequate representation in the National Assembly, because Bulgaria needs right-wing policies. After five years of fiscal voluntarism, the accumulation of debts must be stopped – this will be our role“, said the deputy chairman of GERB.
Donchev announced that GERB would present an extremely specific and ambitious management program to accelerate economic development. “Not political incantations, but specific proposals at a technical level, which we will follow“, he explained. The deputy prime minister in the “Zhelyazkov“ cabinet commented that he hopes to have a regular government because Bulgaria needs stability in these confusing times on a global scale. According to him, for this to happen, there needs to be a de-escalation of political emotions and more reason in the National Assembly.
