We will survive this crisis. The question is what is being done to use it to establish transparency in the pricing of petroleum products in Bulgaria. This was stated by the Chairman of the Management Board of the Bulgarian Energy and Mining Forum Ivan Hinovski in the program "Denyat ON AIR".
According to him, all politicians are silent.
"You can calculate what the base price is and where the traders' profit comes from. We are suffering, the prices on the columns are due to the transactions of liquid fuel traders. It is not just a surcharge, there is excise duty, VAT, supplements. It is fair that it should be no more than 20%. I think the overcharge is twice as high," Hinovski analyzed to Bulgaria ON AIR.
According to him, in this situation the special manager cannot do anything.
"He is a temporary manager who ensures the operation of the enterprise so that there is no deficit in Bulgaria of foreign property. "Lukoil Neftochim" is not our enterprise. It operates on the territory of Bulgaria, according to our tax laws, but its assets are not our property," emphasized the Chairman of the Board of the Bulgarian Energy and Mining Forum.
"This is a geopolitical issue. As an energy expert, I am not only for the sanctions on fuels to be lifted, but also for the sanctions on nuclear equipment to be lifted, for example for the "Belene" NPP, because we cannot do anything there either. A politician will say otherwise. If politicians can take a reasoned stand, with geopolitical arguments, and say that this is collapsing our economy - the lifting of some of the sanctions can be achieved. Hungary and Slovakia are not sanctioned by anyone," Hinovsky gave an example.
The Competition Protection Commission "can safely request a structure of the production costs of oil," he pointed out.
"Lukoil Neftokhim" has been paying huge donations to political parties for decades. I assume that this is the main limitation to not opening this black box," Hinovsky noted.
Regarding the state's measures in relation to fuel prices, the guest pointed out that this is the only reasonable market solution for compensation.
