Fuel prices in our country remain in the focus of public attention.
In the Ruse region, the price has increased by about 0.30 euro cents for the end consumer in just one month. Some gas station owners are forced to operate without a surcharge.
Meanwhile, due to the surge in gas station prices, the cabinet adopted a 20 euro aid for the most vulnerable groups. The measure will be in effect until June 30, but will be introduced when the average fuel price reaches levels of over 1.60 euros per liter for three consecutive days.
Ventsislav Pengezov, owner of a gas station in Ruse, confirmed to BNT that wholesale prices are maintaining a growth rate.
According to Pengezov, prices are unlikely to fall anytime soon.
He believes that the cabinet's measure is absolutely ineffective. "A ridiculous thing", he said for the morning block "The Day Begins" on BNT and shared that it is right to remove the VAT and discuss the excise duty with the EC.
