Denitsa Ivanova: Krum Zarkov has relied on local structures in the lists - 1

After the BSP congress on February 7 - the left has taken a new path. This was stated in “120 minutes“ Denitsa Ivanova - leader of the socialists in Ruse. According to her, the chairman of the centenary party Krum Zarkov has relied on local structures in the lists for the upcoming parliamentary vote.

“After 12 years, for the first time, the list in Ruse will be led by a Ruse resident. What is more interesting is that I am the first Ruse woman to take over the list. At one point, we watched how politics got confused, the regions were not heard, and each region is specific and must have its own representative in the National Assembly“, she added she.

In the studio with her was Danail Georgiev, the deputy chairman of the party “Movement 21”, part of the list of Plovdiv-city. According to him, it is clear that “BSP-United Left“ now has new faces and a new approach.

“The entire party stands behind Krum Zarkov, the centenarian is a wise party, it has learned its lessons. The centenarians had gone in a different direction in the last few years, it had forgotten who it is. We are currently returning to the foundation of our party - a social and just state. Zarkov has returned the party to where it belongs, he is trying to unite all the wings, because only together can we be strong“, explained Ivanova.

She commented that she is against our country joining Donald Trump's “Peace Board“, because it is not clear what is being defended in this organization and Bulgaria should not become part of a foreign military conflict, and above all, we should work for our national security.

Ivanova pointed out that over the years the socialists have twice supported Rumen Radev for president: “We have clearly and distinctly stated our attitude towards him. However, Mr. Radev and “Progressive Bulgaria“ must state their attitude towards the BSP. For future actions – we need to sit down and talk about policies. It seems to me that they are running away from the debate. We are going to elections without a clear political debate between the different parties. What will we do, more of the same?“

“The Left will seek cooperation on several key issues – the abolition of the oligarchic model of the state, changes in the justice system, the authority of the institutions, overcoming inequalities and the fight against poverty“, Georgiev added.

Ivanova also said that during the election campaign everyone is an opponent, but there are red lines that the BSP will not cross.
