Boyko Borisov: I will not create problems, I will work for stable governance - 1

GERB leader Boyko Borisov said that he will strive for stability in governance and will not create political tensions.

"I promise that I will not create problems, but will try to have stable governance", he said during a visit to Kyustendil, where he supported the candidates for deputies from the region, quoted by Bulgaria ON AIR.

According to him, GERB has an established governance model based on cooperation between the state, municipalities and business.

"There is GERB - a 20-year-old party. There is a model - the state working with municipalities and business. "We have tried to make more steps in all areas," Borisov stressed.

He again rejected the claims about the so-called "Borisov-Peevski model", stating that such does not exist and that there was only a period of joint work on priorities such as the eurozone and the recovery of funds.

Borisov also stated that he would support political forces that guarantee stability so that local authorities can work peacefully. At the same time, he criticized his opponents, hinting that some decisions are made "in the shadows".

The mayor of Kyustendil, Ognyan Atanasov, emphasized the importance of the state budget for municipalities and noted that without it their work is difficult.

During his visit, Borisov viewed the art gallery in the city and projects for the development of cultural infrastructure. 16.6 million leva have been provided for them, and additional funds will be needed for their completion.

Earlier in the day, the GERB leader also visited Pernik, where he emphasized infrastructure development. There, he stated that "the GERB model is a model of development", listing implemented projects – dams, treatment plants, schools, theaters and road infrastructure.

In Pernik, Borisov was welcomed by Georg Georgiev, leader of the GERB list in the region, and Mayor Stanislav Vladimirov.

He also drew attention to the project for the "Moshino" road junction, which should provide a direct connection of the neighborhood with the city's outer highway and take transit traffic out of residential areas.

According to him, funds for the design have already been secured, and the project also includes a complete reconstruction of the area.

In conclusion, Borisov emphasized the need for a regular government and "predictability", noting that the fragmented parliament makes it difficult to form a stable government.
