Andrey Raichev: If 3.5 million people vote, Radev has 120 MPs. Borisov is reborn and cheerful, Radev still speaks woodenly - 1

The elections have been announced in advance except for one parameter - how many people vote. This was stated by sociologist Andrey Raichev in “Face to Face“ on bTV. According to him, the DPS has never gained votes through public appearances in the media, unlike other parties, the chairman of GERB Boyko Borisov is like “reborn“, and the leader of “Progressive Bulgaria“ Rumen Radev still speaks “tightly and woodenly“.

“If 3.5 million Bulgarians vote, Radev has 120 MPs, with 500 thousand less – he has 90 MPs“, explained Raichev.

Political PR Diana Damyanova commented that the “fashion“ for 121 MPs was followed by “We continue the change“ and “Renaissance“. According to her, this is a classic devaluation of political speech, because when something is proposed that is unattainable – it becomes an empty phrase.

“A mythologized hero appears on the field, when he is a myth, he is expected to be a prince with angel wings, positive expectations. And the clash with reality usually leads to disappointment in people - they don't find suitable people on the lists, they don't like the name of the party, etc. In this sense, Radev is facing a clash with reality. All the other characters are doing what they used to do. With the exception of Borisov, who after 10 years of silence - told everything", she added.

The PR person said that he couldn't "read" Rumen Radev because he expresses himself in a technocratic manner, and his election campaign is bad - boring, wooden and clumsy: "In the last few days, changes have occurred in people's speech. With Radev, it feels like these 120 deputies are an unattainable goal and for two days he has been repeating "Give me all the power", hitting GERB, Borisov and Peevski. He practically says, "I have no one to form a coalition with."

Raichev commented that PP-DB does not comment on Radev in his campaign, the leader of “Progressive Bulgaria“ also avoids questions about his opponents and does not criticize Europe. The sociologist added that the most bearable thing for Radev's voters would be if he formed a coalition with PP-DB, but there will still be criticism.

According to Damyanova, voter turnout is going down because the campaign is boring, unpleasant, and will soon become disgusting. Raichev pointed out that if people's distrust in the political system continues until the elections, and so the scenario with a multi-party parliament will repeat itself.
