Action actions are being held against the bought vote and arrests in various parts of the country. Dozens have been detained in the last 24 hours.
“When the Bulgarian police sense the will in the top leadership of the Ministry of Interior, they know how to work professionally, successfully, bravely and legally“, said the acting Minister of Interior Emil Dechev.
With these words, he explained why this year before the elections there are so many actions and arrests for election violations before the vote on April 19.
“We have many times more percentages of initiated pre-trial proceedings. As of 7:30 this morning there were 383 reports of election crimes committed. For the same period before the last elections last year, there were 52," Dechev said.
“So far, 115 pre-trial proceedings for election crimes have been initiated, while there were 27 at the time. Now the number of detainees is 51, while there were 18 at the time“, the acting interior minister also said.
“You see much greater activity“, he added.
