The movement of trains between the Mirkovo and Stolnik stations has been temporarily stopped.
The reason is a tree that fell on the contact network, BDZ announced.
Passengers had to wait two hours at the Stolnik station, NOVA learned.
The current information at the moment is as follows:
- The passenger train from Sofia to Koprivshtitsa, which departs from Sofia at 7:45, has been canceled in the Stolnik - Mirkovo section, and passengers will be transported by bus.
- The passenger train from Karlovo to Sofia, which is due to arrive in Sofia at 9:22, has also been canceled in the Mirkovo - Stolnik section. Passengers will be transported by bus.
- The fast train from Burgas to Sofia ("Chaika"), which is scheduled to stop at Pirdop at 10:00, is currently at Karlovo station. It is possible that it will be redirected to travel via Plovdiv.
A disruption to the schedule of the remaining trains is expected today. The damage is expected to be repaired within the next few hours.
