The Professional Ethics Commission of the Prosecutor's Office of the Supreme Judicial Council is taking action itself regarding publications in the media related to the acting administrative head of the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office Emilia Rusinova.
The SJC announced that the Commission held an extraordinary meeting on April 1, 2026. Information was requested from the relevant authorities on actions taken and on available data regarding what was reported in the media.
We recall that on March 30, the Minister of Interior announced that the Ministry of Interior had received information that the head of the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office Emilia Rusinova had repeatedly crossed the border of Bulgaria with neighboring countries in two cars. Petyo Petrov-Evroto also traveled in them, Emil Dechev reported.
Subsequently, the acting Minister of Justice Andrei Yankulov stated that he expects the Ministry of Interior to send the report related to the trips of Sofia City Prosecutor Emilia Rusinova abroad in the company of Petyo Petrov, known as Evroto. The aim is to assess whether there are grounds for initiating disciplinary proceedings.
