The payment of pensions in April this year through post offices will begin today, April 7, and will end on Monday, April 20. Transfers of the amounts for April pensions to the accounts of pensioners who receive their money by bank transfer will be made today. This was announced by the press center of the National Social Security Institute (NSI).
Along with the pension payments for April 2026, Easter supplements to the pensions of the most needy pensioners will also be paid. According to the decision of the Council of Ministers, pensioners whose pension or the sum of pensions, supplements and compensations to them is up to and including 390.63 euros, which is the amount of the poverty line for this year, will receive an additional 50 euros. Pensioners whose pension or the sum of pensions, supplements and compensations to them is from 390.64 euros to 620.20 euros, inclusive, i.e. up to the amount of the minimum wage for the current year, will receive 20 euros.
A total of 1,606,000 Bulgarian pensioners will be supported with the so-called Easter allowances, said the acting Minister of Labor and Social Policy Hasan Ademov in early March.
