At today's meeting, the Council of Ministers will discuss the opening of new consulates of Bulgaria and foreign countries, national programs for the development of education and compensations for parents of children who are not accepted into kindergartens, nurseries and nursery groups due to a lack of free places. This was announced by the government press service, reported by BTA.
The Council of Ministers will consider a project for financing compensation for parents of children who are not accepted into state or municipal nurseries, or nurseries groups, or state kindergartens due to a lack of free places for the period from January 1 to February 28, 2026.
Among the highlights on the agenda is a project for approving an agreement between the Government of Bulgaria, the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo and the Government of Azerbaijan for cooperation in the construction and reconstruction of the “Shusha“ park in Veliko Tarnovo.
The Cabinet will also discuss several decisions related to the consular network of Bulgaria and foreign countries. The government will consider a proposal to relieve Felix Fischer of his duties as honorary consul of Bulgaria in Zurich and to close the Bulgarian honorary consulate there.
The Council of Ministers will also discuss the opening of a consulate of Kazakhstan in Burgas, which will cover the districts of Burgas, Sliven, Yambol, Kardzhali and Haskovo. The cabinet will also consider a project to open a Bulgarian honorary consulate in Tbilisi, which will serve the territory of Georgia.
In the field of education, the cabinet will discuss the opening of a branch of the National Music Academy “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov“ in Burgas. The ministers will also consider a project to approve national programs for the development of education.
Among the items on the agenda is a proposal to award Alexander Todorov Andonov with the order “St. St. Cyril and Methodius“ first degree.
