By decision of the Holy Synod, this year there will be no Bulgarian delegation to take the Holy Fire from Jerusalem, due to the circumstances in the Middle East and the impossibility of traveling. This was announced by Metropolitan Cyprian of Stara Zagora, who is also the official spokesman for the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church.
He expressed regret for this, but pointed out that despite this, in every diocese there are places where the Holy Fire from last year is kept.
"In the Stara Zagora diocese, it is kept in the Kazanlak Monastery "St. Bogoroditsa" and in the Monastery "St. Petka" in Chirpan, from where it will be transferred to the diocesan center in Stara Zagora and to all churches, the hierarch said.
He reminded that faith is the most important thing, it is the trust of all Christians.
"Let us have the patience, humility and wisdom to accept everything as evidence of his Resurrection, because he will always give us this truth," the hierarch urged.
