According to him, the people who demanded change in the protests materialized it at the polls yesterday.
“Progressive Bulgaria“ received a huge credit of trust that can be spent very quickly, so it will have to implement urgent measures – from judicial reform, through budget adoption, to the fight against corruption, Tonchev added.
According to him, it is exaggerated to claim that Rumen Radev will follow the path of Viktor Orban and noted that the election programs of TISA leader Peter Madyar and Rumen Radev are identical.
The sociologist also said that he expects “Progressive Bulgaria“ and PP-DB to find a common language to ensure the necessary majority for constitutional reform.
“In my opinion, Radev will initially return the old provisions in the constitution in the part with the appointment of the service cabinets“, Vasil Tonchev suggested.
When asked if he could revive the referendum on the leva, Tonchev replied that “this is a done deal“, which from now on will only lead to chaos in the country.
Regarding the BSP, the sociologist commented that what Krum Zarkov tried to do in these elections was “to reanimate something that had died.“
In this situation, in which Radev appeared and swept away everything, it was simply mission impossible. But despite everything, I see potential in Krum Zarkov to lead the party forward, added Vasil Tonchev.
In his words, however, the biggest loss in these elections is for GERB and DPS, explaining that the two formations “lost control over the entire state machine they were running“.
“DPS no longer has a partner, no one wants to work with them, not even GERB“, concluded the sociologist from “Sova Haris“.
