A common political entity in the center-right and a coalition agreement. This is what "Yes, Bulgaria" wants from the PP-DB coalition. We can only be an alternative in this way. This was said by co-chairman Ivaylo Mirchev in the studio of "In Focus".
“The fact is that we lost these elections. We did our own analysis, there are reasons for this. The National Council of "Yes, Bulgaria" came up with a decision that measures must be taken. We wanted to be the political instrument of the protesters. This was achieved to a rather low degree. The growth of 60,000 votes with us is absolutely insufficient. It does not satisfy us, we will look for our mistakes. We want to have a common political entity with the PP, which is in the center-right and includes other formations,“ he explained Mirchev.
According to him, the PP-DB election campaign was diverse. “There were separate headquarters, and we did not have a unified program. We also need a coalition agreement, to have joint briefings and meetings. The protesters assigned us certain tasks for the elections, we assigned them together. They expect us to be their political instrument. They want to see something secure and solid in our country that can govern the country. We do not look like that at the moment. 8 elections in several years have not happened in our country or in the world, we are in uncharted territory“, noted the co-chairman of “Yes, Bulgaria“.
According to him, the claim that he did not answer Atanas Atanasov's phone is not true. “There has never been a case with Manol Peykov entering the National Assembly, we have not interfered when there is a candidate in two districts. The party's own bodies decide who from where entered“, he pointed out.
A strong commitment and great trust, voted by the people, which must be justified - this is how Mirchev defined the categorical victory of “Progressive Bulgaria“ in the elections. “We will be adequate and will do everything possible to dismantle the “Borisov - Peevski“ model. Even this week we filed several reports regarding the Supreme Administrative Court for checking records. The words in them seem to have been spoken by Acting Chairman Georgi Cholakov. They are talking about amounts for resolving specific cases. There are orchards with rotten apples in the judicial system, everyone must be checked - properties, income, everything“, commented Ivaylo Mirchev.
He compared Sarafov's resignation to a compliment from the establishment - an attempt by someone to get along with Rumen Radev so that someone else can be left alone. His opinion is that the removal of Borisov's security and Peevski will be symbolic - he will show a desire to destroy the model.
Regarding the information that Desislava Atanasova was on board Peevski's private plane, Mirchev said that PP-DB will demand a temporary commission and a hearing of Interior Minister Emil Dechev regarding the income of the MRF leader. And if it is proven that Constitutional Judge Atanasova rode on Peevski's plane, her resignation will be requested.
