President Radev was perceived as something different and as a victim of the status quo. He managed to take 740,000 votes from all other parliamentaryly represented forces. The fact that they cut the president's powers played a bad joke on them. What they did against Radev now delegates more rights to him. Without wanting those who wanted to harm him, they created comfort for him. This was stated by the chairman of "Republicans for Bulgaria" Tsvetan Tsvetanov in the show “Face to Face on BTV.
According to him, people were very disgusted and disappointed.
He recalled that at the time in GERB, the main priority was the “Security“ sector. “In the management program that they presented now, this was absent. You present yourself with a negative image and push away the periphery. They only consolidated their hard cores and lost the periphery, which went to Radev“, he explained.
“Nobody listens to the experts, but to the conjuncture. Radev has a very difficult task, namely judicial reform“, said Tsvetanov. He recalled the “Kostinbrod“ case. According to him, if we do not return to the genesis of the status quo, we cannot build the future. According to him, Vanya Stefanova will help regroup the judicial system. The only one who did not bring politics into the prosecutor's office was Boris Velchev, the former second in GERB recalled.
Tsvetanov described GERB's first governing term as the most successful.
„There is a need for normality in the country now. Everything good must be supported. There should be no revanchism. There must be humility and high-level talks, Tsvetanov advised.
GERB did not show political will to solve the real problems of the people, he pointed out and gave the example of the water shortage in Pleven.
„In GERB, I talked daily with people from the country and we sought collective solutions. This dialogue is now broken. Everyone is trying to save themselves individually. The periphery is running away. In GERB, there was organizational comfort, we were friends. We must have one goal – the state to change for the better“, he explained.
In the first nine months of the assembly, they were good partners, then they destroyed everything and stopped the dialogue, Tsvetan Tsvetanov reported.
He predicted upcoming public tension because of prices.
Borisov lost an electorate that we had a very hard time winning when I was in GERB. Currently, GERB has no deputies from Kardzhali, Targovishte, Razgrad, Yambol. This is an overlay on all the betrayals, Tsvetanov also pointed out.
Each of the parties did not present messages that would approach other parties. In politics, it is important to have cooperation. Radev received a credit of trust. If it is not filled with content, he will return to other formations, the chairman of "Republicans for Bulgaria" warned.
