Gyurov: We expect the new rulers not to bend - 1

We expect the new rulers not to bend. We expect them to show that what the public votes for them as support comes with huge expectations and they must meet them. The next government will have unprecedented support both in parliament and in the presidency, and in this situation, looking for enemies and excuses would be an expression of political weakness. This was said by Acting Prime Minister Andrey Gyurov before the start of the first session of the new National Assembly.

People took to the streets, but even now they are at home, their demands and expectations for good governance for the country remain the same. People want governance without greed, without arrogance, without self-forgetfulness, he also said.

In the last two months, the caretaker government has done a lot to show that Bulgaria works better without the Borisov-Peevski model. It has shown that one can work bravely and with a backbone, that one can work with integrity.

According to Gyurov, no talks have been held with Rumen Radev so that ministers from the caretaker government can be part of a regular cabinet.

According to him, if Georgi Kandev remains the Secretary General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, this would be the best sign that can be given. According to Gyurov, it is best to find the right people, give them the right direction and support to do their job.
