In a city where policies are often talked about, but less often about real solutions on the ground, the working meeting held between representatives of citizens and the Sofia Inspectorate outlined an example of a constructive dialogue with a clear direction and specific commitments.

At the center of the initiative stood Georgi Goranov - chairman of the Initiative Committee "Protection of Civil Rights of Residents of the Suhodol, Gorna Banya, Ovcha Kupel and Malo Buchino Quarters", he is also chairman of the Public Sector Employees' Union at the Confederation of Bulgarian Trade Unions.

At his initiative, a meeting was held with the director of the Sofia Inspectorate, Dr. Pavlin Kodzhakhristov. The conversation went beyond the findings and focused on specific solutions.

Among the main topics were maintaining cleanliness, regular street washing and limiting the passage of heavy trucks transporting earth masses through the central part of the Suhodol district.

The problem with the condition of road signs and road markings was also raised separately, and a decision was made to restore them.

For the local community, these are not just everyday inconveniences, but issues directly related to the quality of life, health and security. The residents of the Suhodol district have been raising these issues for years, and Georgi Goranov's initiative gave them the necessary institutional weight and visibility.

During the meeting, Dr. Pavlin Kodzhakhristov was acquainted with the issues raised in detail and proposed measures for their phased resolution. Among the key steps is notifying the Sofia Directorate of Internal Affairs, which should take action within its competence to limit heavy truck traffic through the Suhodol district.

An agreement was reached, that resolving these issues requires consistency, coordination, interaction and civil control. The parties agreed to maintain active communication on all topics related to the urban environment and living conditions in the Suhodol district.

The leadership of the Sofia Municipality will also be involved in the process. The Mayor of Sofia Vasil Terziev, together with his team and the leadership of the Sofia Inspectorate, will be a key factor in turning the agreed measures into real actions. Such institutional support is of critical importance when it comes to complex urban problems requiring coordination between different institutions.
A special emphasis was placed on the awareness of the local community.

The residents of the Suhodol district will be promptly notified of the actions taken and the progress on the issues raised - an important prerequisite for building trust between citizens and institutions.

After being introduced to the agreements reached, the residents of the district expressed their gratitude to Georgi Goranov for his consistent civic position and his commitment to the problems of the Suhodol district, as well as to the Mayor of Sofia Vasil Terziev, his team and the Director of the Sofia Inspectorate Dr. Pavlin

Kodzhakhristov for the demonstrated institutional responsibility and readiness for joint work.
The case of the Suhodol district shows that when civic energy is led by a clear cause, consistency and dialogue, it can reach the institutions and turn into real solutions.

In the person of Georgi Goranov, this process found its driving force - a representative of the citizens who does not just pose problems, but works to solve them.

If this approach is established as a model, it has the potential to become an example of effective partnership between society and institutions in the management of the urban environment.
