In the last five years, everything in Bulgaria has only changed. Now we can give ourselves a year or two in which to look for a way forward. The most important and first thing is to stabilize public finances, because Bulgaria is in a big financial hole.
This was stated in the program "Osche ot dne" on BNT by the political analyst from the "Myara" agency Parvan Simeonov, who commented on the political situation in the country.
"Currently, there is a window of opportunity in our country. The first opportunity is a de-escalation of political tension. The second is for Bulgaria to set clear goals. The third is that there is scope for reforms, which will require a majority and courage. For me, Rumen Radev has been preparing for this moment for 8-9 years. I assume that he will want to go down in history. What distinguishes Radev from Boyko Borisov is that Borisov talked a lot and acted on the move. Under Radev, things will be the opposite. I do not expect revanchism from the new government. They cannot completely close the door to the past, but ultimately they must look forward to stop this political timelessness," he added.
"GERB and DPS supported the candidacy of Mihaela Dotsova for Speaker of the National Assembly today in order to show constructiveness. In my opinion, they will continue to act like this because they suffered heavy defeats and must find their way again. For me, the separation of "We Continue the Change" and "Democratic Bulgaria" is a political mistake, but apparently many differences have accumulated between them," concluded Parvan Simeonov.
