Shell is the company ranked first in the tender of „Bulgargaz“ EAD, for the delivery of one cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG). It will be delivered to Turkey for the needs of the Bulgarian state-owned company, using the capacity contract with „Botas“, „Bulgargaz“ announced.
The cargo comes from the USA and is expected to arrive at the end of May, bTV specified. The amount of liquefied natural gas will be used for the needs of Bulgarian consumers during the upcoming summer season, the public supplier reports.
A total of five companies have submitted bids in the tender procedure for the supply of one cargo of liquefied natural gas with a volume of 1,000,000 megawatt hours (about 95 million cubic meters of natural gas in standard conditions - ed. note). The announcement of the procedure was announced on April 29, when "Bulgargaz" announced that 37 companies had been invited.
Shell ranked first, as it offered the most competitive conditions in accordance with the set criteria. The bids were evaluated according to a methodology including the lowest delivery price, term and payment method.
The specialized vessel will be loaded in the USA, and is expected to arrive at the end of May. The amount of liquefied natural gas is intended to cover the needs of Bulgarian consumers during the upcoming summer season.
