The NSO accused Nikolay Denkov of "incorrect statements". In a letter to the media, the service clarifies that it strictly fulfills the duties assigned to it by law. Which means he continues to protect the former prime minister, despite his claims to the contrary. It is probably about a difference in feelings, Denkov is guarded, but he did not notice.
At the same time, the NSO is categorically silent on the question raised by Kiril Petkov - how the head of his service refused to replace the employees assigned to his security and even stated that he would not resign if the acting prime minister at the time asked him to do so .

On the occasion of incorrect information about the National Security Service in the show “Eurodikof” on Eurocom TV on 26/04/2024, the NSO informed the following:
The National Security Service strictly fulfills the duties assigned to it by law.
According to the Law on NSO, specialized transport in peacetime is provided to persons who held the positions of Speaker of the National Assembly or Prime Minister for a period of up to 4 years after their release from office.
According to the provisions of the same law (Article 19, Paragraph 1 and Paragraph 2), specialized transport is a security activity. This activity has not been suspended with respect to the author of the incorrect statements.
