"The people of Pleven made some mistakes - electoral, the protests started late. Who doesn't make mistakes?! I see that in recent weeks voices have been raised against them - posts, comments, articles. Full of accusations and gloating: "They vote regularly for GERB, for Chalgar, let them be without water, let them stink, let them sip whatever they have crushed" and all in that spirit. This is cruel. They don't deserve it.

I have the claim that I was the first to raise the topic of the disaster in Pleven nationally this summer. Even before there were protests. But I never allowed myself to insult them, attack them, accuse them.
Pleven is Bulgaria. Bulgaria is Pleven. We are all in the same boat.
When one region gets sick, it affects the entire organism. The problems are common and related. The guilty must be severely punished. By name! And not after the first rain to forgive them and wave their hand. But the people of Pleven should not be flogged either. Now they need national help, support and compassion."
