Ukraine has allocated land to the German defense concern Rheinmetall for the construction of an ammunition production plant, Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmygal announced.
„Since our last conversation, we have finalized the procedures for launching a new joint production. On September 9, a plot of land was allocated in a safe area of Ukraine, where a new Rheinmetall projectile production plant will be built for the needs of the Defense Forces of Ukraine“, he wrote on his Telegram channel after a meeting with the head of the concern Armin Paperger on the sidelines of the DSEI 2025 arms exhibition in London.
Rheinmetall is the largest defense company in Germany. The concern also supplies military equipment, including tanks and ammunition.
