A 65-year-old woman from Botevgrad attacked and robbed a man in his home.
At around 4:10 p.m. yesterday, the victim's daughter filed a police report that her father had been attacked and robbed in his home. Officers from the Botevgrad Regional Police Department were immediately dispatched to the address. In front of them, the victim shared that earlier in the day a woman had entered his apartment, started choking him, hit him several times on the head with a wooden object and took the sum of 700 leva.
The man was transported by an emergency team to a Sofia hospital and admitted for treatment with laryngeal edema, which is not life-threatening.
A 65-year-old woman from the same city was arrested for the crime.
A crime scene inspection was conducted and a criminal investigation is underway into the case. The investigation continues under the supervision of the prosecutor's office.
