A drunk and drugged driver caused a spectacular accident in the garden in front of the University Hospital in Burgas shortly after 12:00, BNT reported.
The 33-year-old man was driving at a very high speed on Struga Blvd. and ran a red traffic light at the intersection with Stefan Stambolov Blvd.
He first hit another car, which was passing completely legally on a green signal. After the impact, the offender's car literally flew off the road and stopped in the grass next to the sidewalk.
The police tested the driver for alcohol and drugs, and both tests were positive.
Miraculously, no one was injured.
The Burgas Regional Department of Traffic Safety and Emergency Management reported to BNT that the man is from Karnobat and has previous serious violations — he has lost his license twice for drunk driving.
