Four men - aged 37, 69, 48 and 18 - were detained after a report of a robbery and abduction of a woman in Nikolaevo, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Stara Zagora announced. The report was received yesterday at the Gurkovo police station at the Kazanlak Regional Directorate.
The man who filed the report stated that on the same day on a street in Nikolaevo, four of his acquaintances abducted a 34-year-old woman. According to him, they were driving a "Volkswagen" car. The whistleblower also said that one of the men, after using force, took the amount of 450 leva, a mobile phone and a charging cable, as well as a gold chain from the woman.
As a result of the immediate operational-search activities carried out by the police officers, the four men were located in Stara Zagora. The items that were the subject of the robbery were found in their possession, and they handed them over with a voluntary surrender report. The woman has also been located and is with her relatives, the police told BTA.
Pre-trial proceedings under Art. 142, para. 1 and Art. 198, para. 1 of the Criminal Code have been initiated at the Kazanlak Regional Office under the supervision of the Stara Zagora District Prosecutor's Office.
In September of this year The Stara Zagora District Court imposed a total sentence of five years in prison with an initial general regime of serving a 42-year-old man for causing moderate bodily harm, making threats and kidnapping a young woman.
