400,000 euros and numerous valuables were seized in a specialized operation by the National Crime Agency, the State Anti-Corruption Bureau and the National Security Agency. The operation, under the supervision of the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office, was carried out in connection with organized crime for money laundering, the press center of the state prosecution stated, quoted by Nova TV.
The operation was carried out on December 16 in Sofia. Searches and seizures were carried out from 8 apartments and commercial premises. A number of physical evidence was seized – mobile devices, numerous documents for ownership of real estate, a large number of various types of high-value valuables, sums of money in leva, dollars, as well as 400,000 euros, the prosecutor's office reported.
The subject of the investigation is the activity of an organized criminal group for laundering money from drug trafficking and trade.
