But responsible people like Mayor Terziev say that they helped the border police.
The "Petrokhan" case is escalating and is already becoming politicized. Attacks on Borislav Sandov began, then Mayor Vasil Terziev intervened. This was stated to the Bulgarian National Radio by the journalist from "24 Chasa" Kiril Borisov.
"The truth will come out", he is convinced.
"This is not about some very complicated business or political schemes, but about a community that has no reason to be so guarded and hide the truth from society. This case is interesting from two points of view", the journalist pointed out.
"First, the criminal offense itself, because in my opinion this is murder. The other is the diverse reactions and information flowing from the main institutions - the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor's Office and the National Agency for National Security. We are talking about a closed group of friends, spiritually and materially connected to an association that was registered in 2022. The three murdered and two who are looking for them. One is Ivaylo Kalushev, who is the main figure. In my opinion - main suspect in the murder of his three comrades. Nikolay Zlatkov, who is younger than him, and a boy who they were supposed to help with something. On the very first day, the Ministry of Interior and its representatives said: "We don't know this association, no one has filed reports. They have a weapons permit". Then the Prosecutor General was surprised that there was such an association that acted in this way, and he didn't know. Shortly after, the Chairman of the National Security Agency said: "We had a report two years ago about sectarianism, about a pedophile story, about a paramilitary organization. We forwarded it to the prosecutor's office", commented Borisov.
"My personal feeling is that there is conflicting information about this case, because they knew about these people. And they were unprepared for what happened, and they don't have a perpetrator. On the one hand, they want to distance themselves from them, on the other hand, there is no way, because there is a serious crime and this activity cannot remain hidden from the institutions," the journalist pointed out.
The mayor of the village of Gintsi told one of the television stations that when they went up with the police, they waited for the people from SANS to finish their work. At first, I was convinced that this person, although the mayor, was mistaken. Yesterday, I wrote questions to SANS, which of course no one answered. Is there any communication with Ivaylo Kalushev? And yesterday, the chairman of SANS said: "We didn't go there. You're confused. We have nothing in common". Sarafov immediately supported him. The Ivaylo Kalushev in question, as far as I was able to gain impressions from people on the periphery who knew him, is an extremely intelligent and considerate person. He is not to be underestimated at all. For years he has been organizing courses for teenagers - boys from 13 to 15 - who go to caves with him. He is one of the best divers in the country. He takes them abroad on similar courses. He had the unique ability to attract young and older people to his causes. These people may have really cared about nature. In my opinion, they were all under the influence of the wanted Ivaylo, he said.
