In Florida, iguanas have begun to fall from trees, NOVA reported.
When temperatures drop, cold-blooded reptiles enter a state similar to hibernation. Animals typical of these places do not suffer from the cold, but iguanas are from Central and South America and are not adapted to cold weather.
Local authorities have issued a statement saying that there are five points where stunned iguanas can be handed over by citizens. The low temperatures in Florida are part of a new cold wave that has swept large parts of the United States.
