Rare Sumatran tigers have kidnapped and killed a plantation worker in Indonesia's Riau province, the Jakarta Globe reported.

The attack took place near the camp where the workers were living. When it got dark, the man, whose name was Hadito, went to the toilet. Soon his colleague heard screams. He immediately ran outside with a flashlight, but Hadito was gone. Only his pants and mobile phone were found ten meters from the toilet.

Representatives of the Riau Natural Resources Conservation Agency found that there were two Sumatran tigers in the area of the camp. This was evidenced by traces of various sizes found at the scene of the incident.

The victim was found after a thorough search of the area. The man was already dead, lying face down on the ground with teeth and claw marks on his neck and upper back.

The body was taken to the district clinic and then to the Teluk Meranti Medical Center for examination.
