Kevork Kevorkian: Parking - 1

Some words have a strange fate - one of them is “parking“. At first glance, it is quite ordinary, even nondescript. But suddenly this word experienced an unexpected, but well-deserved renaissance - when Plevneliev, who had just been anointed by Boyko for president, began to tell about his odyssey through German “parking lots“ - that is exactly how he pronounced this word. Perhaps he thought that with his laziness he would ù secure higher recognition, even some kind of halo - after all, a future president used their services - he spent the night in his car in them.

This was commented on "Facebook" Kevork Kevorkian.

Soon, however, Plevneliev abandoned the “parking lots”, decided that he no longer needed them as an element of his magical “state”. And he plunged into the mysteries of his previous life: he remembered that in it he had been an Irish shepherdess and repeated this with fanatical conviction and a considerable dose of pride. However, no one dared to ask him, because at that time there were still some shreds of shyness in the media - what exactly the “shepherd” in question was, except that, at least in his case, its existence is a sure sign of how far a person who has stepped into Bulgarian politics can go. In the end, the “parking lots” were forgotten while everyone was cowering under the shepherdess' skirt.

But these days, the forgotten word in question is experiencing its second renaissance: it was officially announced by the Minister of Defense Zapryanov, who informed us that the American military planes that mysteriously landed at the Sofia civil airport “Vasil Levski“ were simply using it for parking, because there were free parking spaces there. Obviously, these planes had an urgent need to turn around somewhere, otherwise they would hardly have been able to find their way into the crowd of passenger planes. Then the question becomes obvious, and someone must answer it: well, if there were no free spaces at the airport, where would these strangers have landed? In the courtyard of some Sofia school?

So, for now, the “aliens“ They are quietly parked at the "Vasil Levski" airport - and one wonders whether they will soon be joined by the two F-16s that we bought from the Americans to repair here? They are currently at the military airbase in Graf Ignatievo, which should certainly be far more suitable for housing military aircraft than the Sofia civil airport. Why did the Americans insist on parking there?

And what could this lead to?

By the way, Zapryanov had to announce another piece of bad news from the F-16 affair: the second batch of eight aircraft would be delivered with a delay of one year and therefore the payment terms would have to be revised. They will not revise anything, of course. Zapryanov has the bad luck to periodically report unpleasant news about this deal, but this does not bother him at all, because everyone is already aware that they are lying to us.

“Lockheed Martin“, after securing the “Bulgarian“ order, simply forgot about it - except for the fact that they once showed the drawings of the plane to... Elena Poptodorova, which was a real mockery. The lobbyists of this company in Congress have probably already snorted their commissions, and no one counts our balls for anything. And when we get rid of the unnecessary details, we will have to admit that even some African pseudo-state would not have endured the humiliations that we have had to swallow so far with this deal, and on top of everything, it is not at all clear when it will end. Until this happens, we will not have to worry about protecting the “Bulgarian“ sky. Modernizing our combat aviation and bringing it up to NATO standards is not an easy task - especially for a country that a little over three decades ago had over 300 modern combat aircraft.

However, Zapryanov was visibly happy these days, and with good reason: because he clearly believes that we are able to cause a fundamental change in the very essence of NATO - and to prove that it is possible to transform this formidable and to a large extent aggressive military organization into a peace factory.

And with one and only solution: by turning the Sofia civil airport into a parking lot for combat aircraft.

You are heading towards the plane that is supposed to take you, along with a gang of drunken Englishmen, to Sunny Beach, and the pilot from the cockpit of an F-16 wishes you a pleasant flight - and you feel completely at peace and calm. The force is with you, NATO is watching you, the Sofia parking lot is watching you. Yes, the Parking Lot! And you wish that word would remain.

And we can remember, when we are sensible enough, the folk saying "After the rain, a hood" - it contains our entire mentality; no matter what we do, in the end, as always, it will remind us that we are soaked from the latest rain.

We have all witnessed how, after each successive tragedy, the television stations cannot accommodate the horde of criminal psychologists and analysts to whom everything is clear. And they could easily have predicted the emergence of the tragedy in question - if only someone had thought of them.

Here, we remember and ask them:

What would happen if someone decided to check whether Sofia airport is really vulnerable even to drones bought by “Technopolis“ - the ones that children play with?

What would happen if someone decided to scratch one of the “aliens“, irritated by the rumor that they were being prepared to participate in an American attack on Iran - and write a few words from the surah with which believers ask Allah for help against Satan?

What would happen if Allah listened to him?

Who would the Fool who agreed to a civilian airport being used as a “parking lot“ for fighter jets pray to then?

It has been clear - and for a long time, that one day we will still get into trouble - they have decided that this is our destiny, this is up to the Eternal Conciliators.

But at least let this not happen in such a stupid way.

However, that is exactly what will happen. It is inevitable.

Some of our senior soldiers still write about themselves as NATO first-timers and Americanophiles, even though their asses are still itching from Soviet military academies - these same ones seem to have never heard one of the most popular army sayings - "Never volunteer for anything!" And they continue to play with fire. No wonder one of them whispered the idea of "parking" to the NATO bigwigs - this scoundrel is trying in this way to privatize for his own account all the obedience and ugly sycophancy that is intended and is due to the "Headquarters". Such types also need NATO for their personal use.

These people very often seem not to even be aware of what is exactly happening. But they never think about the consequences of their decisions, that's how they are built. And they don't seem to know that all debts are paid sooner or later.

Besides, they don't even realize anything else - as the saying goes, you can't pretend to be someone else forever. And they continue - again and again - to gloss over the problems, distort them, and finally abandon them. They do it because they don't know where to go - unless their pocket, their most reliable guide, directs them.

The transformation of the national airport "Vasil Levski" into a parking lot for foreign combat aircraft is no small matter. This decision could have devastating consequences. The state, which is somehow still functioning in a dilapidated yard, is not at all capable of preventing them. After so many years, we continue to powerlessly talk about the attack in Sarafovo, we have so much strength - but we don't even think about what evil could befall us from the new “parking lot“.

And it's a good thing they didn't open it with some lavish ceremony.

We must not forget that Evil in most cases turns out to be stronger. And more patient. And even more far-sighted. It's shameful that a quarter of a century after September 11, 2001, you don't understand this.

Leave the big games to the Americans - they're used to losing them.

Bush Jr. is not the only president maniacally obsessed with the lies he himself makes up. Even the intellectual professor Obama became hostage to the ambition that he, the one, would be remembered as the liquidator of Osama Bin Laden. However, he admitted that "while Bush was chasing non-existent weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, we lost sight of those who would actually attack the "United States". That's right - there is always a risk of missing someone.

Recently, after the enthusiastic praise for the kidnapping of Maduro, I remembered an episode from Leon Panetta's book/“A Worthy Fight“ - he was the head of the CIA at the time when Osama was eliminated. The Americans have been watching an apartment building in Abbottabad/Pakistan for a long time, where Osama is supposedly hiding. Finally, their mythical special forces decide to attack it with two helicopters. However, one of them lands in a neighboring yard full of a herd of cows and goes out of action. There is always a risk of missing something.

And we in particular should be on our toes.
