The winner of the Italian Cup Kuchina Lube (Civitanova) will rely on a true Bulgarian duo next season, Topsport reported.
After Alexander Nikolov, who has already been in the volleyball grand since 2022, his younger brother - Simeon Nikolov - will join the team.
The news was announced by the authoritative volleyball journalist Jakub Belchazhak in his profile on X.
"Simeon Nikolov will play for Kuchina Lube Civitanova next season!" - wrote Belchazhak.
22-year-old Alexander Nikolov, the No. 1 scorer at the World Championship in the Philippines, has a long-term contract with Lube - until 2028. He has been a key figure in the squad since arriving in Italy two years ago.
19-year-old Simeon Nikolov, who is currently the starting point guard for Russian Lokomotiv (Novosibirsk) under the management of Plamen Konstantinov. His contract with Lokomotiv is in the 1+2 scheme, but according to information after the end of the season he will join Lube.
