Bulgarian driver Nikola Tsolov received his trophy for second place in the final standings in Formula 3 in 2025 at a special ceremony that was held yesterday in Abu Dhabi. The winners of Formula 2 and Formula 3 for 2025 were awarded at the ceremony.
"The Bulgarian Lion" finished as runner-up to Rafael Camara in Formula 3, recording three pole positions, two wins and a total of six podiums within the ten rounds that were held.
At the end of the year, Nikola Tsolov also debuted in Formula 2, participating in the last two rounds of the season in Qatar and Abu Dhabi. In them, the Bulgarian left a very good impression, achieving a podium with his third place in the sprint at “Yas Marina“ on his name day.
"It can be said that Nikola Tsolov made an impressive debut in Formula 2. His two races were very good preparation for the next season. He managed to drive all possible laps in training, qualifying and racing, which gave him valuable information for analysis. It is also important that he impressed with speed in qualifying, even being faster than the Racing Bulls' titular driver – Arvid Lindblad. This is a serious sign that Nikola can compete with highly rated personnel from the Red Bull program. Of course, he still has a lot to learn. He made the most of the experience, and the podium achieved is a very important signal to everyone in the paddock that next year he will be a contender for the top positions," Nikolay Varbitsaliev, Nikola Tsolov's mentor, shared specifically for BNR.
Next year, the "Bulgarian Lion" will be a starter in Formula 2 and will again compete for the Campos Racing team. His teammate will be Mexican Noel Leon, and the season will start between March 6 and 8 at “Albert Park“ in Australia.
