Högmo: We know very well what the difference is with Levski, the match with Slavia is already in history - 1

Ludogorets head coach Per-Matthias Högmo said after the end of the match with Slavia (1:1) that his team had enough opportunities to achieve a turnaround against the "whites", sportal.bg reported.

This was the first wrong step for the Razgrad team under the leadership of their new coach, who started with four consecutive victories.

"It is certainly not pleasant to concede a goal after just a few seconds of football. From there on, our plan changed. Slavia defends very well in its own penalty area. We created many situations, but we scored only one goal. In the second half we had enough chances to win. I am happy with the way we acted after the break.

In the first half we were not able to win the one-on-ones. We changed that in the second half. It is not very easy to play in such a cycle. We are doing a lot of work. The players understand what we want from them. I believe that we are improving and will look even better.

We know very well what the difference is with Levski. We know that we have to win every match. The schedule is very busy. We are focused on what is ahead in the next match. We are trying to improve in every respect.

Tonight's match is already in history. We have a little time until Thursday, we have to recover. We will try to be ready for the match with PAOK. The victory against Celta gives us serious chances to move forward. I hope we do it", shared Högmo.

Slavia coach Yulian Petkov, for his part, stated, quoted by BTA:

"I want to congratulate the boys. They played an exceptional match against Levski. Today was a tactical deception, because many duels accumulated. We went back to defense, and Ludogorets missed several chances. We tried to take advantage of our counterattacks. If Yanis Germush had scored at the end of the first half, we probably would have won. After this dedication, a point is a success.

We also felt fatigue. In the 70th minute, Ivan Minchev was already 10-11 kilometers away. It is a great honor for him. We tried to refresh many of the players. We worked hard to recover the players in recent days. We played another good match. We will make sure that we are ready for the cup match, our goal is to finish the season properly.

The boys understood this after the first day of Ratko Dostanic's arrival as coach - there are frameworks and rules that everyone must follow. The experienced ones set the tone for the young ones. There are great players who will be talked about in the future. All the young ones who come in give their all. This would not have been possible without the help of the old ones.

It is not easy to play against Levski and Ludogorets in this way. We do everything possible to ensure that every opponent respects us."
