Ludogorets (Razgrad) midfielder Agibou Camara underwent successful surgery on the tendon of the quadriceps muscle of his right leg, the Bulgarian football champion announced.
The intervention was necessary due to the chronicity of the problem in the thigh. It was performed by Dr. Ramon Cugat in a clinic in Barcelona. The expected recovery period is about four months.
Guinean international Camara suffered the injury in July in the match from the first qualifying round of the Champions League against Dinamo Minsk (1:0), when he was forced to be replaced after 20 minutes of play by Todor Nedelev. The medical staff of the team from Razgrad tried conservative treatment and the African player briefly returned to the field in November, when he recorded two more matches, but then it became clear that surgery was inevitable.
Joel Anderson continues his rehabilitation after the knee intervention in Sweden. The right-back will join the team in early January, when he will enter the next stage of his individual program.
Edvin Kurtulus is also recovering from a dislocation of the cap of his right knee. The Swedish defender is expected to resume full training with the team at the beginning of winter training.
