French champions Paris Saint-Germain have been ordered to pay 60 million euros to their former player Kylian Mbappe, Reuters reported.
A Paris court has ruled that Mbappe must receive 60 million euros in unpaid wages after initially claiming 263 million from his former club. The 26-year-old striker demanded the nine-figure sum after leaving the club for Real Madrid last summer. Until now, the Frenchman had only received part of what was owed, but after today's court ruling he will be paid the rest.
„We are pleased with this decision. "This is to be expected when there are unpaid wages," said Mbappe's lawyer, Frederic Casero.
Since arriving in the Spanish capital, Kylian Mbappe has scored 70 goals in 81 games for the “Royal Club“ and has been named player of the month in the Spanish league three times.
