Juventus defeated Napoli 3-0 in the derby of the 22nd round of the Italian Serie A, BTA reported.
Juve won valuable three points against last year's champion with goals from Jonathan David in the first half and from Kenan Yildiz and reserve Filip Kostic after the break. The Turin team tied with Roma in fourth place in the table. The two teams have 42 points, but Roma has a game less, hosting Milan in the other key match of the round later tonight.
Napoli suffered its first loss in football in more than a month and remains third with 43 points. Juve were the more aggressive team, looking for the win more and deservedly achieved it.
In the 19th minute, Kefren Thuram hit the post, and the home team's pressure paid off three minutes later. Jonathan David controlled the ball well in the penalty area and sent the ball into the net. The key second goal came in the 77th minute, when Miretti, who had just come on as a substitute, brought on Kenan Yildiz and the Turkish international coolly converted for 2:0.
Four minutes before the end, another substitute - Filip Kostic, scored for 3:0 with a precise shot in front of the arc of the penalty area, which found the lower left corner of the Napoli goal.
Earlier today, Atalanta defeated Parma 4:0 at home in a match from the 22nd round of Serie A.
Gianluca Scamacca, Martin De Ron, Giacomo Raspadori and Nikola Krustovic scored for the guests. Atalanta is seventh in the Serie A standings with 35 points, while Parma is 15th with 23 points.
In another match from the 22nd round, Genoa defeated Bologna 3-2 at home. The match was heading towards a draw, but in added time Junior Messias scored the winning goal for Genoa. With the success, Genoa moved away from the relegation zone and now occupies 13th place with 23 points, while Bologna is in eighth place with 30 points.
Sassuolo beat Cremonese 1-0 and broke a streak of seven consecutive matches without a win. The only goal of the match was scored by Aliu Fadera in the third minute.
