Bayern Munich easily defeated Union Berlin 4:0 at home in a match from the 27th round of the First Bundesliga. In the absence of midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovich, who has a hip injury, the Bavarians did not encounter any difficulties against the capital and led by two goals before the break, BTA reported.
Michael Oliseh gave the Bavarians an advantage just two minutes before the break, and in extra time Serge Gnabry was also accurate in the Union goal.
In the 49th minute, Harry Kane increased the advantage for the "reds" at 3:0, and 18 minutes later Gnabry again made it 4:0.
Bayern are unbeaten in 12 consecutive matches and are very close to winning a record 34th German title. The giants from Munich have 70 points in first place in the standings, while Borussia Dortmund are 12 points behind. Later today, the "yellow-blacks" play in front of their own fans against Hamburger SV.
Union is in tenth place with 31 points won.
In another match of the round, Bayer Leverkusen made a spectacular 3:3 draw against the host Heidenheim. "Aspirin" had a two-goal lead in the first half through goals from Malik Tillmann and Patrick Schick. Hennes Behrens and Marvin Perringer from the penalty spot in the 72nd minute gave Heidenheim hope of a draw, but seven minutes later Schick gave Bayer another lead.
The hosts did not give up and made it 3:3 in the 85th minute through Perringer.
Bayer Leverkusen is in sixth place with 46 points, while Heidenheim is in 18th position and has minimal chances of keeping their place in the elite.
Cologne, who played with a reduced squad, drew 3:3 in front of their home crowd against their local opponent Borussia Mönchengladbach. Jens Kastrop gave the visitors the lead in the first minute, but Said El Mala and Ragnar Ahe made a complete turnaround in favor of the "goats" by the seventh minute.
Philip Sander equalized in the 20th minute, and Kastrop with his second goal of the match after an hour of play again brought Borussia ahead. Erik Mertel equalized in the 84th minute, but seconds later received a second yellow and red card, respectively, leaving Cologne in a reduced squad.
Mönchengladbach has 29 points in 12th place, while the "goats" are 3 points less in 15th position.
Wolfsburg lost 0:1 to visiting Werder Bremen after Justin Nijmegen scored in the 67th minute. Moritz Jenz received a red card from the hosts in added time.
"Wolves" are in 17th place with 21 points, while Werder has 28 points in 13th position.
