Russian talent from Ludogorets Elisey Sarov took Bulgarian citizenship - 1

One of the greatest talents of Ludogorets – Elisey Sarov, is now a Bulgarian citizen, informs the popular website Transfermarkt.

This is excellent news for the Bulgarian U19 and U21 coaches – Atanas Ribarski and Todor Yanchev, because it is assumed that from June, or at the latest from September, they will have the right to call up the 18-year-old playmaker.

As is known, Sarov was born in St. Petersburg in 2008. In 2022, shortly after the start of the war in Ukraine, the talent settled in Bulgaria with his family, joining the Ludogorets academy. Today, 4 years later, he is also the holder of a Bulgarian passport.

In a short time, Sarov has become a main player, first of the third team, and then of the reserve team, which competes in the Second League. The playmaker has already held 3 training sessions with the first team of Ludogorets, and Per-Matthias Högmo took him to the camp in Antalya in early January, which is a clear sign that the Norwegian intends to rely on the Russian in the future.

During this campaign, Sarov has 19 matches, 3 goals and 3 assists for Ludogorets II, and so far he has 44 matches in the Second League, accumulated in recent seasons.
